The Cove and what goes on there

What happens to the Dolphins
is pure trickery
a woeful entry into
Dolphin fear
they are extremely sensitive
they can hear a pin drop
for miles across the ocean
so its clear
we can never do this
but the Japanese have found
that by banging poles with other poles
it creates a frightening sound
we still dont have the where for all
to do what Dolphins do
and yet we do imprison them
in concrete tanks of blue
swimming around in circles
till they go stir crazy they
have to do tricks to order
they are and made to pay
those that are not pretty
are put in holding nets
overnight they must wonder
in the morning all the bets
are off the dolphins suffer
they are slaughtered one by one
they cry and scream and sadly
they know their day is done
the barbarity is awful
on tender innocent souls
the Japanese excel in being nasty
and their roles
are emphasised in Taiji
where the torturing is rife
its hard to see the reason
why its done with so much strife
unless they are just brutal
unless they just don’t care
unless they are trying to prove a point
and the killing tanks they share
unlike the western slaughterhouses
its done behind closed doors
just a bloody awful
but without the great outdoors
