Today that concept came to mind
Farmmagedden it
apparently is in the pipeline
in St Louis it might sit
squarely in thoughts of one
Adam Shriver who
believes it would be possible
to exact another view
that of animals suffering
since factory farms must be
an element in which to produce
meat then he could see
a neural path adjustment
that just could conceivably
do away with the animals pain and suffering
which he
feels rightly is tremendous
that agony one might
feel, the animal suffered
really however slight
if tinkering could be applied
the animal feel no pain
then the factory farms could
increase in size and the meat eaters
could gain
the complete satisfaction
that no guilt would then befall
them for choosing to eat meat
that seems to be the call
I find this entertaining
a principle in time
we keep on torturing earthlings
but from the pit we climb
we look into our mirrors
and we see a saintly soul
we do our ghastly jobs down there
but have taken back control
our psyche cleansed completely
by our fresh neural tinkering
the earthling feels a kind of thrill
for that’s its chosen role
I mean to say we clearly
have overlooked the fact
that animals are sentient
animals react
not just to pain
but what they see
what they hear
and feel
what they smell
so the next step
what is it pray tell
we take away their precious eyes
their precious ears
and noses
we take away their tiny brains
for after all that poses
problems if they contemplate
and dream perhaps that they
really are not animals at all
and we should pay
again the question comes to mind
with this genetic stance
that possibly what we will find
being part of the dance
into the perceived future
is that Nature might then choose
to co author our being
and possibly peruse
our role in all this progress
to see if she might make
some new fan dangle adjustments
to what is our slice of cake
may be a neural pathway
precluding us from pain
from seeing and from being
and from hearing and may train
the animals to re create
less consciousness, so they
retaliate much more quickly
when we are in their way
when tinkering with nature
we have to understand
that she has gained the experience
of many lifetimes, and
has waited and has listened
and has experienced it all
not one lifetime
but a million lifetimes
and that tune she just might call
“the wizard contemplates
the sky
and standing under it
knows why
his magic is a powerful force
but its nature that provides
the source”
