Greenpeace Gazprom and Shell the threat to the Arctic region

In the back of beyond
where the ice and the snow
are one with the sky
its where oil drills go
Shell and their partners
Gazprom are there
drilling into the ice
a bounty to share
into this environment
cold and pristine
technology rips through
the land that has been
undisturbed through the
ages
and thus all the more
reason to care and be
sure to abhor

those who would plunder
the riches it holds
and this is the drama
that clearly unfolds
the risks are immense
its nonsensical to
pillage and rape
what we have
that’s my view

Greenpeace has warriors
all armed with love
the care the commitment
given to the dove
peaceful but clearly
serious they
put their lives on the line
for the Planet Today
up against heathens
BIG energy’s souls
trying to exert all
of their controls
so much of this power base
that’s out there Today
are unaware of the risks
that abound anyway

they care little for virgin
lands they want it all
whilst Greenpeace and its angels
are now against the wall
to evolve to protect to share
and to save
the vast pristine places
the home of the brave

Greenpeace its activists
arrested and told
shot at and threatened
in terror their rolled
you have our respect
our love and our thought
and we all must stand by them
for we are all caught

in this maelstrom of evil
this selfish wish to
plunder and pillage and ruin
and do
the dirty
the prophets no where to be found
when the profits are high
from the oil in the ground
