A trapper

Its hard to imagine
humans who dare
to take on creation
who seem so aware
of life but who disregard
it just to feel
a high or a sort
day to day they conceal
this insanity that is clearly
their own
any caring soul
would want to disown
such feeling but these
people seemingly they
get a great deal of pleasure
from being this way

torture to torture
a mother and child
a Raccoon and its baby
something that’s wild
purgatorial madness
takes over and we
see a monster created
that seems to break free

is it anger
frustration
is it temper who knows
can we enter the brain
and search out the prose
that describes what we know
happened here to these souls
who both lost their lives
where no one controls

the extent of the agony
wilful and wrong
offensive and odious
it doesn’t belong
in the psyche of man
who is alleged to be
sentient soulful and suitably free

but here we have another case
we can read
it sickens the soul
it makes the heart bleed
to wonder the agony
these two souls felt
from the hands of a gambler
whose vile cards he dealt

the mother had a barbecue rotisserie
in through her mouth
its sickening to see
then pushed through throat
to the back of her head
imagine that pain
I know we see red
the baby was hammered
to death where she lay
watching her mother
egregiously pay
for her life in such woefulness
what can we say
how can we imagine
as they passed away

I sit here
and ponder
sick to my core
I don’t think I want to
read any more
each day there’s more horrors
each moment we see
human intervention
and how it can be

so vile and so wicked
amoral and sick
conscienceless living
a reprobate hick
debauched and depraved
so shameful to see
on immaculate souls
who were innocently

living their lives
