A little dog died in Knoxville

It happened in Knoxville
there was a dispute
between two neighbours
that seems the root
of the problem
it seems but
a dog has become
a victim and it died
it was beaten, and some!
people who take out
frustration on animals
are strictly cowards
in the vilest of ways
whatever the argument
killing an animal
clearly that’s terrible
and it just plays
into the senses
it cuts at one’s core
this man is disturbed
and must pay
I am sure
he is now in a cell
and hopefully he
will be banged up and told
he will never be free
of the pain and the strife
as that little dog died
at his hands
for the rest of his life
deep inside
he will see that sad soul
and hear its last yelps
some time in the jail
