Mrs Cow is so hard done by

The cow’s
so hard done by
She’s worked till she drops
creating a milk supply
that clearly tops
induced with recombitant
bovine growth hormone
to exceed all creation
into the bleak unknown

put upon, slapped about
raped, beaten down
locked into concrete
yes we go to town
on tearing the heart out
of every poor cow
who is docile and sweet
but now sadly how

we all have to ask ourselves
what is now done
to this wonderful ungulate
and to each son
she bears
kidnapped,killed as she cries
from her heart
as her udder
must grow to a size
to impart

more stress upon her
an outpouring of stress
she can see
she can feel
the machines
can’t redress
hooked up to the pain
sucking her udders dry
and she still may hear
her poor baby
cry

and of course hear the clink
of the bottles and packs
as the Diary comes forward
to help her relax
with more rape
and more torture
and ongoing tale
and knowing at the end of it all
she would fail

her calf would be gone
in the flick of her tail
as the slaughter gates open
she hits the trail
she might not be able to
walk very far
but they would man handle
her and she would star

in the great horror
movie that plays out each day
as these cows are strung
up
and are made to pay
their throats slit
their trachea just torn away
and left there to bleed out
in utter dismay

this the reward for 4 years
of Hell
out of the time span
which creation did spell
not much more than a child
but having to go
to her death so that we
can enjoy, what we know

her skin for our sofa
her flesh and her bone
we can roast boil and fry
for the seeds we have sown
may acidify all our digestions and we
might regret what we ate
in the end and just be

out of our depth
in the big scheme of things
as poor sweet cows die
and the great total brings
so much pain and suffering
to all earthlings who
suffer in silence
because that’s what they do
