Zama County for 11 days they all sat on
their hands
the biggest waste water spill in History
few plans
north east of Zama city
a ruptured pipeline spilled
I mean why tell the public
a factor that has chilled
the hearts and a minds of many
its basically a marsh
trees are brown and dying
so it does feel rather harsh
the public have a right to know
but clearly we can see
its on first nation tribal peoples land
its where the Dene Tha be
harvesting their fish there
then Alberta sees a lot
of spills most very tiny
what a lot of rot
so because they have so many
and most of them are small
when you see a big one
it don’t matter at all
9.5 million litres
of contamination flowing
spilling into pristine marsh
and hourly it is growing
booms from other leaks
float in reservoirs and we
know oil is leaking from tiny spills
it would worry me
12 days it took to realise
the great extent and why
officials seem not to understand
how environments can die
any contamination of the natural world is wrong
and Big oil is really at it
and have been all along.
they have this awful arrogance
they simply do not care
they have the power
and it grows more each hour
and really it isn’t fair
the councils also need to realise
that people must
be given more respect
for where they live
it seems unjust
to neglect them
its their habitat
which they cherish and they care
Big oil cares about Big oil
they are not aware
