Leaving a dog chained to a post and moving house is sinful beyond words

Human Beings
desperate or otherwise
who own an animals
also need to realise
you cannot move away
and expect another soul to pay
your dues with its body
it just is not okay

logic and sanity and every other
word we know
an old dog, chained up to a pole
so no where could he go
no food
no water
no shelter
no blankets
just the sky
one ear missing
tumours
cuts abrasions high
old scars
covered in maggots and in fleas
this egregious cruelty
somebody should seize

the moment and those humans
who allowed this carnage to
build up and be part of this
animal, for its true
whether love is given now
that poor soul was their pet
and being left like this
its something he will not forget

it may haunt him forever
humans are a pain
wilful nasty creatures
in essence here insane
