Caring and sharing without comparing

Those who see the animals as useful
for meat on plates
for skin on coats
will be
sadder for the the experience
of carnivores
who fall prey to others
and really cannot be
free in fact for stronger larger
predators
might ambush them
and eat them
its their way
morally the hunted can be hunters
but morally
the hunted tend to pay

that’s the balance all would
now subscribe to
as aggressors in the field
can sadly find
only danger threatening their
future
but many out there
apparently are blind
to consequences for the human spirit
the peaceful periods in life
all need
caring and just sharing
the little that we have
and putting aside
all the thoughts of greed
