Mexican Wolves need our help

there’s only 50 wolves now left in Mexico
the rest were slaughtered
by the hunting clan
they hit the dust
it was so unjust
so unfair
hard to bear
but this is what is happening
and its happening everywhere

death and vile destruction
of our habitats
so the corporate world
can steam onto the land
and frack and crack and god knows what else
ruin
for the indigenous and the wild souls
trouble’s brewing

those of us in cities
amongst the glass and concrete, we
have basically seen greenfrield sites
disappear and be
built on, lost to nature
and now its happening where
the oxygenating areas
also now they face despair

50 wolves imagine it
the rest wiped out
just so
cattle ranches can move in
pollution it can grow
these cows are sent to slaughter
for the burger and their meat
its a business and its usurping
what is nature’s treat

the forests and the wilderness
the wild places on earth
here is where it happens
its where we seek rebirth
its fresh and wild and wonderful
its natural and its sweet
it is our children’s heritage
and we sell them down the street

Wolves and all the others
should be left where they belong
we are human beings should be
standing fast and strong
not letting these bloody
Banksters and the ranchers
beat us down
the frackers big oil and the rest
just take over the town

stand and fight them
every single wolf that roams
we should
be fighting for their survival
for we know its good
when all the wolves are slaughtered
that’s when things get rough
for then they bloody start on us
and that’s when it gets tough

50 wolves in Mexico
lets fight for them lets show
the ranchers and the others
we don’t want them to go
we’re sick of all these ranchers
all this squalor all this pain
we’re fighting for the minorities
and our fight is not in vain
