Bear Paw soup
is what the Asians think of as sublime
sometimes taken from live Bears
all still in their prime
surely we must now demand a
humane paradigm
for honestly this practice
is the beastliest of crime

The bear is often lowered whole
into a blazing fire
and roasted as it struggles
its agony is dire
an abysmal form of torture
the agony, the pain
if this is a sichuan delicacy
it must never happen again

you are still in the dark ages
where inhuman acts were done
but such heinous crimes
against a sentient soul
god, it does stun
everyone who hears
this tale
we need to be assured
for all this awful evil
the wild world can’t afford
its tantamount to satanic
it honestly does jar
and bear paw soup and roasted bear
is earth shatteringly too far

My plea to you sir
please you have the heart in you
to see
that this vile practice ceases
you ban it now, for we
truthfully cant possibly
imagine how you can
allow such brutish behaviour
to carry on
a ban

a ban it has to happen
no more bears must die
roasted whole or paws cut off
its just not on and why
these are precious beings
created not to be
slaughtered by your people
with so much savagery
