The Caribou good hunting for the locals more problems for the wolves

In Alaska there is Caribou
fine hunting clearly they
are sought after by the locals
and the wolves
and so they pay
a high price
wolves are hunted
for all sorts of reasons
but clearly they compete
with the local hunters
who also like the meat
of the Caribou so what they do
is they kill the wolf as well
seen as quite a nuisance
they pack them off to hell
so its now harder and harder
for wolves to stay alive
when everyone is one your case
how can you survive
the locals, they are selfish
and by taking out those who
compete with them at hunting
they know not what they do
short term their minds are made up
long term who knows the pain
the biosphere is complex
and who knows what strain
this killing of the wolves
will do
but clearly it is wrong
the tragedy is few now care
with feelings running strong
I hang my head and feel thee tears
for men are selfish fools
creation put the wolves to work
and selfishness appals
any thinking stranger
who wanders to this place
and sees the carnage happening
and knows its a disgrace
