Downer calves cannot be killed if they cannot walk to their place of slaughter says USDA

Downer calves
those very sad young babies
used for veal
that’s baby cow meat, we
human beings satiated
on the milky flesh
a premonition
of gullibility
how can we sit down
and eat young babies
rejects
we have made them this because
we keep the mother pregnant
so her milk, we can steal
and either kill her offspring
or push it through to veal

remember these are ungulates
they chew the cud they need
grass out in the pasture
that makes up their feed
not so the baby cow on milky
slop its fed
chained up in some tiny crate
and they stay there till their dead

and many classed as downers
meaning they are very sick
they can’t walk having got so weak
but we never miss a trick
pull them out and kick them
and if they cannot stand
prod them with electric prods
oh yea all this is planned

babies in America
get no special treatment, they
feel the wrath of slaughter men
each and every day
it has been proven their are films
documenting this
egregious behaviour
its something most would miss

expletives thrown from side to side
one calf was skinned alive
hanging screaming on a hook
to bleed out do we strive
to turn away
or do we make
these slaughter people pay
according to the authorities now
the, USDA
has stipulated finally
that downers
must not be
accosted on their way to slaughter
it just must never be
