Man’s best friend clearly not in Thailand, Laos Vietnam of China

A fate you wouldn’t dream of,
is happening today
to thousands of poor innocent dogs
all stolen away
from their owners,
from the various pounds,
and of course, off the street
its the vilest nastiest trade
there is, and its not even discreet
the market place is
Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam
the most sordid rusty buckled crates
and inside 6 dogs they cram
in the process
legs get broken, eyes gouged
they side by side
their dropped and stomped
on all the way, and its not denied
the dog meat trade for
Chinese new year boosts the market place
traders selling dog meat
earn big bucks, so no disgrace
it just doesn’t, seem to get to them,
they are heartless and prepared
to let these poor dogs suffer so
I mean, no soul is spared
Humanity has sunk into a chasm,
to force feed these poor souls
before they’re killed
just to make a few more
measly dollars, and not one
thought for the blood
thats sadly spilled
huddled, shaking,
in their bloodied cages
doleful eyed
dogs stare into the sky,
as one by one, their comrades
are pulled upwards on the hook,
and smashed about the head
until they die
each can see the inevitable end,
its in their face
as each friend is obliterated
yes its a disgrace
for so called sentient humans
to stoop to this degree
of what is clearly a
horrific threat to our humanity
many are not killed, outright
their thrust into a drum
of boiling water
where their skin is ripped off
I feel numb
just writing this,
it makes me shake
it makes me sick inside
its callousness beyond belief
and nobody has lied
its happening, its customary,
in Thailand people know
the police are stopping
trucks and boats
but it still goes on there so
the world has got to
make a stand for the voiceless
ones must be
driven to such terror
from man’s depravity
The trucks in which 800
or so dogs can find their way
in these rusty lopsided crates
on a brutally hot day
no food, no water, imagine it
the stifling heat we must
ask those people doing this
why it does disgust
anyone you speak to,
so why do people feel
so unthinking towards other souls
whose terror is clearly real
for what, so they can
make a bit more profit, at the cost
of a bigger percentage dying
so a bigger percentage lost
live dogs/dead dogs
they don’t mind the market out there seems
to just want to eat dog meat,
the nightmarish of dreams
doesn’t touch their psyche
and all the torrid grief
is lost in fact in the selling
for its all done on belief
on the so called long traditions
of health provision
and
what we say or criticize
they refuse to understand
in fact they point their fingers
at the West who kill their cows,
their pigs their sheep their goats
their chicks they talk of extended powers
from eating this or that and wonder
why we tell them they
should now refrain from eating dogs
does it stand up anyway?
of course it stands up in the
great court of humanity
the evil nasty despicable crimes
filmed so we can see
these poor dogs being tortured
in every kind of way
are made to suffer
it couldn’t be tougher all along the way
to put one’self into the mind
of a poor dog in a cage
looking at the others die,
and knowing that the rage
he feels for those who
carry out this evil on his friends,
who have subjected them to torture well
rapidly it sends
every thinking person
into a depressed state
the karmic debt extraordinary
the consequences great
this trade in dogs
for dog meat sales is vile
and has to be. stopped,
the people now concerned
are imprisoned, walking free
when carrying out such torture
and knowing its a key
to make a few more dollars means
it can never be

I write to you with a heavy heart
on behalf of the voiceless souls
who are picked up off the streets
as strays, or are stolen ,the controls
you levy on such people clearly need to be strengthened for these merciless acts
are ones of depravity,
there has to be protection for
sentient’s everywhere and the trade
cannot continue with so many now aware

You embassies you travel firms
you Governments I say
How can you know about it
and well just turn away
really your as heartless,
as the torturers who feel
its fine to mistreat these animals
and then eat them for your meal.
