Ethel Reel and the Apple Garden

Ethel Reel went to the Apple Garden
Cox’s, Spartans. Russets
dangling high
sucking in the sweetness
of the Autumn rain
and the fading sunlight
sun kissed with a sigh
the crisp flesh
and the sweetness
sets the apple
the English apple out in front
I’d say
with Jack frost
knocking on the door
and the cooling rains coming
for sure
the taste is heightened daily
we want more!
Ethel Reel loves apples
she makes her crumble taste
like something out of
fairy land
the flavour it is laced
with love, with care
with wondrous thought
and tasting it
you feel
everything is wonderful
which is down
to Ethyl Reel
she has so much to offer
she captures subtlety
everything about her
is abundance totally
she really is that angel
that few of us will see
she looks just like a women
but I ask you, to trust me
everything she touches
turns to glittering gold
If Ethyl Reel should touch
your heart
on life you will be sold
