Dieter Hagmann’s artistry
proclaims in terms that we
activists can only cry about
for what we see
is men, is that what they are?
Sentient, that, I doubt
killing Dolphins in the vilest
way, they swim about
hopeful more than anything
that higher minds might spare
their babies and their relatives
but such emotion, appears rare
for these fiends in their waterproof’s
these heartless impassive people
unaffected by
the sorrow and the woeful state
as Dolphins slowly die
unshockable, and unshaken
they are heartless sods
able to just stand there
observed by, their Gods
they seem really incredulous
to the agony they cause
which must point to a senselessness
for they just never pause
for them its just ineptitude
its congenital, I’d say
their bloody knives used
poorly and ineffectively
today
so what can now be done to stem
the massacre, we see
every year so many
die, inexplicably
And they’re not about to listen
and they say they do not hear
they remind us we are slaughtering
animals every year
which is equally disquieting
which creates in them such woe
so who are we to point our fingers
of course its true, we know
As vegans we are helpless
the carnivores around
are eating more and more meat
and they’re digging up more ground
more rainforests are crashing down
the planets lungs are lost
18% of all the methane
comes from animals, cost
is vast we’re losing it
The planet will soon die
Animals losing habitats
Meat eaters hear them cry
They want more meat
they want more milk
the Corporates agree
making factories larger
and few around can see
the madness of this system
even old Al Gore
who made his film
but forgot the fact
what animals are for
and how we have to feed them
with half the cereals grown
and millions of children starving
Just in Africa alone.
