Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park at Cairns

If you go to Cairns

I ask you to go to Tjapukai

You will learn so very much

Which is really why

I went

to just experience

The cultural exchange

And realised the knowledge

and the truly marvellous range

of topics that were covered

in a sincere honest way

The didgeree doo, the boomerang

And throwing a spear, to say

That the practical aspects stole it

Is not exactly true

There were angels in our midst that day

Who do what angels do

Rain Guban was  the leader

And he helped me everywhere

He pushed me over gravel

Shoeless, in my old wheelchair

Explaining all the time

the roles, the history,for he

loved what he was teaching

And did it caringly.

He went the extra mile

for me

Performing , but never phased

Back he came to help me

This angel must be praised

Its not just want of money

Its clearly from the heart

it touched me to the marrow

He did that from the start

Wuru River was another

who signed my boomerang

Genuine believers

and when they, together sang

heart wrenching were their octaves

a deep base through to high

Moving me to tears my friends

Which  is the reason why

I ask you if you go to Cairns

Go to Tjapukai

Listen to their teachings

And know it comes from high
