Condolitor

Condolitor

flew away this morning

Bright eyes bushy tailed

Up and away

To heights He thought

that he could never ever reach

Being stunned and left for dead

the other day.

Lying on the pavement,

so exhausted

Till Dear Cristina

Found him and she knew

An Angel, she befriended

Seemingly descended

To help him to become

as good as new.

She brought him to her haven

in the suburb’s

And in a casket gave him love

and care

Enough to so enliven his sweet

spirit

And guide him once agaiin

into the air.

Back up to the thermals

Condolitor

Once again was able to espy

The heads of people

walking around the city

Wild and free

and clearly on a high.

He sailed across the highways

and the byways

Across to Rushton Street

Just hopeful, He

Might catch a glimpse of the angel

That had saved him

The one and only Cris Millingalli.

Who probably had a tonne of fresh

wild bird seed

And water from some spring

so sweet and pure

A casket lined with blankets

and a heart as good as gold

An angel and a mother

Thats what I’ve been told.

Searching streets for wild

folk that are injured

Always on the look out for some soul

Caught up in the vagaries of living in a city

Where so much just appears

out of control.

  1. I like the rhythm of this. The brief lines and the flow work so well to tell a story.
