It sickens me, the concept of it all
Torturing the earthlings, until their liver swells
Its hellish there arn’t words, it just does, appal
Anybody thinking, about what it is
The liver of a Duck or Goose thats made
To swell, to be engorged with fat,
Diseased I mean thats where we’re at
The creatures suffer terribly and we’re sickened by this monstrous act
As anyone with a heart should now confess
Ofcourse the Liver’s heavier than ever it was before
And the creature is completely under stress
And so the creature’s killed
And out comes, its Liver
Its of the quality all caked in fats
Gavarge the french for force fed food
that is what they do
Ram it down their throats
And no one bats
An eyelid, thats the truly evil goings on
Of the aristocratic morons at the top
The epicurean cuts it thin and spreads it on
his wholemeal tin
And a chunk of dairy butter he does slop
Its costs the earth to eat the stuff
Someone somewhere seems
To be hiking up the prices
on the so called high class menu’s
But honest nothing clearly now redeems
The rotten manner or the way they make the stuff
Rammed down a poor ducks throat all that it needs
Imagine what its like the only food that you can eat and its rammed hard down your throat until it bleeds
Some now mince it up and make a pate
sprinkle it with nutmeg and perhaps
a little salt whose fault is all this murder
It seems the French have had it under wraps
History provides its lengthy pedigree
In damp old barns for centuries they’ve slaved
Torturing sucessions of sad ducks and geese
Who honestly lift up their heads and braved
the torture every day to get the corn balls
Like cannon fodder fired into their gut
Bleeding, full of ulcers and we all know how that feels
Foie Gras it must be banned and the farms all shut
I will not hear the rantings of these heartless sods
Who draw off their fat profits with this trade
I will not hear the TV chefs and Restaurants
they can carry on their sick tirade
This is done and dusted it is sickening
Cholestrol packed and karmically in awe
I come back to this food we know as Foie Gras
- and I ask the wider masses what’s it for.
