A message from Father Christmas

Its Christmas Eve
And I can hardly breeve
I been on the job all night
Delivering presents big and small
Around the skies all white
My toes are sore
My legs are sore
I’m a chafed and sooty mess
My face is worn
My shirt is torn
And I now have to confess

That despite the years
of making toys
With the elves at the North Pole
And travelling, around the streets
Which is ofcourse my role
I wish sometimes that I could know
in advance that the chimney stack
is bricked up in the Living Room
Cos its so hard, to back track

Imagine for a moment
I’m down, but I can’t get through
So I have to try to shimmy back
Which is blooming hard to do
And as I eat each mince pie
and sup on sherry sweet
I find it harder to get down
or up,I’m just dead meat!

So I’m asking all you boys and girls
To get your parents to
Put a sign up on the chimney
To tell me what to do
