My take on the bible bashing carnivores

It always makes me sick inside
to hear those carnivores
“I am a churchgoer”
I abide by all the laws
oh good you clearly
are a wondrous angel of a soul
and yet you chomp on animal flesh
that makes you an arse ole
in my book but you don’t realise
what animals go through
the agony of having
their calves
stolen
they do
cry for days
they bellow
but you what do you say
I am a churchgoer
and read my bible everyday
and what about the animals
oh they were created, so
we could do whatever
thats what our bibles show
the reason
animals are here
that we decide their fate
we eat them and we drink their milk
for they want us to feel great
and clearly that makes them happy
they feel fulfilled so we
breed lots of them in factories
so more of them can be
happy that’s what happening
money’s not the king
we have dominion over
every living thing
the argument is everywhere
the ostrich in the sand
the same routine
I have to hear
cos I don’t understand
when I say, I’m a vegan
well they look down their nose
your too old to be a hippie!
but not to old to write some prose
and tell the world of carnivores
and those who chomp on meat
that where they will be going
at some stage, they’ll feel the heat!
