Plunder sounds like thunder

The whiff of Chinese food
Is clearly in the air
The red flags flying
Clearly we can see
More Chinese faces
Wandering around
Maputo
The benefits of Africa
Now be

Cheap labour
And a workforce clearly hungry
Plundering it’s benefits
Feels good
Massive amounts of minerals
To claw out of the earth
China has the clout
And surely could

Deliver on its promises
To help itself
It’s 1.3 billion
And growing fast
And unbelievable population
Turning out the goods
Just look at Mozambique
And feel aghast

Mining getting underneath the earth
And digging through
Shipping out vast sand deposits
Aluminium too
Copper gold and steel
Their forests torn a’sunder
Keep the red flag flying
And the Bantu under

The Chinese spell
It’s happening
Almost everywhere
they have the money
They have the nouse
And everyone’s aware
Really all over Africa
The invasion it is on
And probably won’t be satisfied
Till everything is gone
