19/4-21/4 Copper Beech in the celtic month of WILLOW

Thursday your buds were beautiful
Friday your leaves on fire
SAturday resplendent
your flames were licking higher

Copper stopper popper
And bronze of dancing light
A lustre Of profusion
A beam a stream the sight

Of recent winter storm clouds
Hefty heaps of snow
The beast came from the east
Growling as we know

But you took it all
In your stride
Your skelethal twigs so fine
Building up a character
Your energy on the line

And now within a month or so
Already you on fire
Cinnabar vermillion
A sanguine glowing pyre

Dazzling in the evening light
Flushing blushing you
Rusty coloured damask
Wine coloured through and through

In a silent standoff
Your branches dark and new
Boldly shaking far from faking
Your coppery smile on view
