We need a fracking miracle

It’s so water intensive
Perilously so
A perfect natural resource
To just be in the flow
Its healthy and life giving
For almost every soul
Every living creature
Appreciates it’s role

The frackers. they appreciate
How their need is that they
Use vast amounts which they inject
Down wells
And of course we pay

For within that soup are chemicals
To break open the shale
Along with aggregates to seal
Fissures if they fail
Millions of gallons of water
Wasted in a frack
And it cannot be used again
There just is no way back

In California right now
The people they are harmed
Because the drought is biting
Imagine how
Alarmed
they are
By no fresh water coming out of taps

A child sits on her doorstep

In all sorts of flaps

She says she’s parched and thirsty
Best tell those fracking men
Who have poisoned the aquifers
So the little girl ask when

Can I have some water dad
Not now for a bit
There’s thallium and arsenic
And other chemical shit
It was all to do with energy
And improving local jobs
Reducing shale gas at a stroke
With profit for the knobs

And we shall all pay for it
They overworked their gobs
They used the words like science
And now we know it robs
Us all of precious water
The life giving source we had
But we believed the frackers
Which turned out to be bad

Cameron and his buddy’s have
changed the sodding law
They will frack under your house
And Your objections will ignore
