Horses for courses

To me this is a lack of true compassion

it proves it is a business through and through

its all about the money

in some ways that is funny

so its profit margins

and we can see thats true

profits are important

thats for certain

but neglect and a lack of care

are issues too

if all you want are horses that  are winning

and you shoot the ones who are not

then I take the view

that you should not be racing

any horses

and we should not support this so called sport

for clearly it is managed by

a lot of nasty people

who are in it for the money

but lack true thought

your dealing with live animals

sentient beings

not manufactured objects

that can be

disposed of in some dump truck

or flogged off to knackers yard

you have to have respect

its infamy

to take a horse

to get it killed for horse meat

a faithful servant that has

tried its best

and as soon as it is ailing

and as soon as it is failing

its down the sale yards

to face its final test

and that is to face up to a

recidivist

whose prepared to shoot

a horse because

the owner wants it shot

the world has gone to pot

someone somewhere

has to fucking pause

what the hell is happening to people

wheres the purity of long ago

wheres the ethic in all of this

 doesn’t anybody know 

and should we support

this lack of honesty

this evil that is clearly going on

in every race, there is, only one winner

so more of them apparently will be gone

flesh and blood and heart and soul

mean nothing

all the good they did

means nothing too

once they fall down on their

responsibilities

shoot them in the face

why wouldn’t you
