Under the Beech tree the daffodils

Every shade of golden
Yellow sulphur brimstone mustard
Choral notes trumpet sounds
Vibrations on the breeze
Straw and lemon chartreuse and primrose
Verdure stalks and olivine
A bright desire
Each dancing Queen
Dappling stippling patch and sparkle
What is diversification
An intensity of Spring indulgence
Right across the Nation
