Our brain is all encompassing
the ocean depths are too
the myriad of splendours
come home to me and to you
the vibrancy of colour
the living light of day
Into your portal
really it is why
we do this not to amuse you
the drama and the delight
is brought to us with energy
and just improves our sight
we know that some real angels
live the human sphere
and love and care for all of us
and help dissuade the fear
some corporate shylocks give us
with frightening regularity
making money from us
in theme parks such depravity
solace and recreation
the party games we play
the tedium of concrete pools
and chlorine let me say
to all you beautiful humans
uninterestingly
organisations like Sea World
know of monotony
they kill our honest love for life
They do bore us to tears
they want to take advantage
they are not our dearest dears
like you dear human beings
who are gentle to the end
we dolphins look upon you
as our everlasting friend.
