from Southern England we

Know  the Poll tax when  introduced

and the need locationally

to identify by surname

descriptively we saw

locations and trade specifics

Were  logical, and what’s more

medieval hamlets

All were made  to clear

pasture land for sheep rearing

That’s the name right here

 

Scrapelhorn  was sheeps hill

its about identification

it did make sense of course it did

Location by creation

the Wool Trade

It was ,popular

sheep  were abundant too

It’s where Scrapelhorn was born

in Hertfordshire all true

the name from Southern England

That’s from  whence it came

a ancient native of the land

his  name confirms his claim
