The dandelion

Thoughtfulness
And lateral thinking
Comes to mind when we
Watch a baby gorilla
Pick up and flower
And be
Fascinated with its form
Its colour and its scent
Perhaps a spot of daydreaming
He clearly is content

A kind of free association
Curiosity
A little ant sleeps
In the flower
The gorilla seems to see
And perhaps think
Is it dreaming
Watchful and engrossed
In Nature clearly attentive
Almost like his host

He could just crush the little flower
In his powerful hand
But that would harm a little friend
He seems to understand
an other worldly experience
The baby just felt charmed
Despite the human presence
A photographer who sat
Pointing his camera at him
He just knew where he was at.
