A breed of Rabbit
Associated originally with Turkey
That was taken over to France
In 1723
Their Royal Family loved their silky
Soft fur and it seems from where
Another ten varieties were born
And one remains still there
these days it is margin
And profit and a way
Of costs staying competitive
And Rabbits of course must pay
A full coat takes about Six months
But Its harvested in three
Sheared off, combed off, or plucked out
And very Painfully
In China where its piece work
And no one seems to care
Whether it hurts hearing the blurts
The cries the screams aware
That ripping hair from tender bodies
Really causes grief
And heartless ignorant cretins
Who just have the belief
The stores here yea they negotiate
Prices just as low
And who will suffer the rabbits
And the workers yes we know
That suffering for sufferings sake
For pulling a fast one does
Get 12 to 18 ounces
The workers get a buzz
But the victims they get torn about
Its unbelievable pain
Done with vile irreverence
Over and over again
Scant respect is called for
Disparagement as well
Getting paid on piece work rates
Who cares if its hell
The victims no one understands
And they can be eaten too
Wringing their necks
And cleaning the decks
And doing what people do
Peta showed it happens
They visited and saw
The iniquity the factories
All the blood and gore
Mulesing pulls great lumps of skin
Tears and required stitching
Its really the cruelest outcome
Just listening to them bitching
Buy angora clothing
From China or Japan
Is really asking for karmic debt
And, a total ban
Clearly it lacks all thought
With Blood stains everywhere
The cries they just go through you
And create the worse despair
These are godly creatures
They never did any wrong
Peaceful gentle little souls
Who just do not belong
In what is a battle
Wretches pulling hard
Wounding bleeding screaming
And no way they can guard
Themselves against these injuries
Its just brutality
Ignorance and evil
And contempt its so paltry
Spurned despised and underrated
Its wicked and it must
Be stopped this isnt moral
It fills me with disgust
And buyers completely ignorant
Of whats gone on before
Need their angora jumpers
And cruelty they ignore
As long as they have their angora
However cruel it was
They carry on asking for it
And really thats because
If they could only witness it
Witness the torture
and hear
the dreadful agonising
Screams
Of suffering and fear
And sample the agony
They just might understand
How Karma will be waiting for them
And they may not then feel so grand
