The macaques of Lop Buri

Is It because of corvid 19
And no tourists anymore
The macaques are doing battle
With the temple troop
And what’s more
Talking to the monkeys
They are gearing up for war
No one around to feed them
And frustration more and more

The temple troop and the city troop
Arch enemies they be
Papayas have been thrown at them
And squashes seemingly
Plenty of food but the tourists
The food is varied and they
Can steal their bags and run around
The city night and day

The halcyon days of tourists
The law abiding souls
Now sees such bellicosity
And mobilising roles
Of the city troop’s pitched battles
Lop Buri seems to be
Where the two groups now are mobilising
In disputed Territory

We were prosperous before all this
And now adversity
Has set in
Only wretchedness we see
It feels ominous and sinister
The mood that does prevail
Tyranny is rising
As authority does fail

So now we all are undisciplined’
And we disobey
There isn’t the authority
Around no one to pay
Any respect whatsoever
We can just run amok
Criminality is rising
No one gives a fcuk

The market place is empty
The economy appears
To be going down here fast
And raising up our fears
All the shops are shuttered
Even the superstore
No one cares a monkeys
And we are just not sure

Munificence is everywhere
Benevolence appears
A sharing of the same old fruit
The economy and fears
Of everything going down hill
And excitability
Turbulence and impatience
Is What we tend to see

But none of us can understand
Why the humans seem
One minute they were everywhere
And now no one to scream
At us we can just run mayhem
All over the street
Such intensity
Is everywhere
It’s making us compete

And we just cant understand
It
it’s a change we do not need
We want to go back to the time
When all us did lead
A life of true contentment
Around the humans who
Were always shouting at us
But they made us happy too
