The Killing Trade

The ethical consumer
Uses thought and uses care
Is conversant with those trading
In matters felt unfair
Environments and pollution
HAbitat and Resource
Palm oil, Animal Testing
FactorY farming
Yes at source
Human rights workers rights
Supply chain management
Irresponsible marketing
We have to be content
Arms and military supply chains
Controversial stuff
Boycott calls political activity
Enough!
Anti social fInance
ComPany ethic too
product sustainability
It’s the soundest view

Ofcourse the meat trade
Wants a share of our vegan pound
Now we have established lots
And proved really how sound
It is to not kill animals
Nor torture them at will
But give care and attention to them
And see them living still

And so they Are in production
The green butchers on the case
Tulip yes and Moy Park
The vegan option chase
Despite the cattle despite the chickens
Despite the forests where
They also earn their dollars
Maintaining THEIR SHARE

Environmental impacts
Milking plants like hell
Switching from the udder to the nuts and pulse
It fell
The dairies poor old primrose
Is suffering a bit
and so it’s oats and soya
That’s now getting a hit

No again pure ethic
Has to come into play
Potable water a commodity
That is going away
We are actually destroying it’s efficacy
As we
Turn it into nut milks and drinks
Commercially

The answer we can be discerning
Learning about ourselves.caring about the planet
And what we want on shelves
Packaging and plastic and of course BPA
On cans and bottles everywhere
We can save the day
Ethical consumerism
Vegan certainly
We can make the difference
For the future certainly
