Wallaby poor little soul

Where did it come from nobody knows
In the warmth of the August Bank Holiday shows
how much wild animals can make it through
A pet thats escaped as plenty now do
Near Windsor Castle on a green park
Bouncing so joyfully leaving its mark
On those who could feel with their eyes
And Aware
That this little soul was without a care

Bathing in sunlight raring to go
When a crowd of youngsters
Started to show
Carrying catapults
Loaded with lead
And firing them furiously
A man there said

“Kill them boys kill them”
Thats wicked
We watched as the shot took its toll
Clearly in pain in fell forwards
agony making it roll
Laughter was there on the video
This bunch of yobs needed to
Be caught in the act and be cautioned
But were coaxed and encouraged its true

It tried very hard to just get away
Limping and rolling poor soul
Its shocking to see this in England
A crowd of demons gone wrong
And lead shot amazingly toxic
Fired off in this kind of place
Where animals and children are playing
It is really such a disgrace

provoking a gang we could hear him
Inciting them really to run
Such wickedness adverse and wrongfulnessr
This crowd need detention
A bloody good hiding
really it doesn’t belong
In an open space on a Summers Day
Watching it just suffer so
Clearly deteriorating
And Sadly with no where to go

The police came the crowd it was no more
The animals clearly in shock
alone in a foreign place
Shot at and injured
And unescorted
Frightened and wilfully chased

Taken to a specialist wildlife
Centre not far from Heathrow
Shocked out of its mind said a helper
Its now walking terribly slow

People have said who were out there
This group whoever they are
Have killed swans and sea gulls
And Rabbits
They are rowdy and seen from afar
Are clearly awfully troublesome
Where are their parents and why
Do they have catapults and loads of lead shot
It is clear that something will die

The Sun ran a story
It is now on facebook
And twitter so somebody somewhere must know
these marauding kids are out on a rampage
And their target appear now to grow
animals might be the first bet
Soon switch up to humans who
Might not escape without being hurt
Badly there that is my view.
