Two families
Are present
The musk ox
The wolves
A flat arena
Clanship and more
An arc of bodies
Protecting the calves
The pack everyone of them
Feisty and raring
Interdependent
like never before

A world of difference
Adverseness and hatred
Hunger was driving them
Faithful they be
Approaching the oxen
With snarled teeth and hot breath
Thinking outside the box
The wildness we see

Apparently dissonance
One broke away
Oxen in small groups
For that they would pay
The wolves were among them
Chaos ensued
Contradictory thoughts
Conflicted and crude

The oxen ran for it
Dust everywhere
A flailing of hooves
In the panic we share
The wolves in pursuit
Its a calf that must die
Lagging a bit behind
Which now is why

The alpha is strong
With an even intent
Three calves are brought down
To heaven their sent
Choking on blood
As the molars ingest
Torn into ribbons
Thus they invest

All of their meanness
The excessive gait
As the mothers look back
To a sight that they hate
Blood lust an offering
Of tangle and twist
A ferment of bedlam
The wish to resist

A brawl and a melee
Of rambling lust
Lawless and bloody
So much disgust
The calves lost to reason
Broken and bust
The beginning and the end
It all happened just

Like that in the blink of sn eye
Youthfulness
Taken out rapidly
Who can confess
To the time and the aftermath
Three casualties
Defenceless and innocent
And so powerless

Unsteady and shaky
Clearly no way
Could they outrun wolves
At the end of the day
Endeavour and authorship
Clearly on fire
Hungry and wanting
That was their desire

They have dynamism
They are a force
The oxen could turn on them
And crush them ofcourse
A great detonation of hooves and that horn
But the wolves have the spirit
And the tactics of scorn

There are no spectators
They are all in the game
So intelligent they
Reasoning and knowing
They work out the way
Deliberative meditative
They really show
What smacks alertness
And how that does grow
