Death row

Waiting on death row
A couple agree
To accept what is coming
A way to break free
From the burdens of living
From the remorsefulness
The unmoved the callous
The unfeeling ruthless

Close up and beside
A warmth in the air
Commiserations
Both now can share
Fraternal feeling
Tenderness too
A close benediction
That’s overly true

The beast lines a coming
The unholy joy
The gloating the bloating
That they all employ
Being together nobody
Can sAy
Being far better off
Would be better that way
