Genetic arrogance

Absoluteness givenness
Existence through time
The mosquito in French
Little fly
Whose bite has seen
So many die

The mosquito itself
Has no venom
And only the female
Needs blood
It is the magic though sadly its tragic
That creates her babies
From the miraculous flood

Stopped off by her blood clotting
Liquid
Its infection she passes on
She
Is devoting her motherly instinct
To the great cause
Life, and eternity

We have thrown all we could
Into fogging
We are killing ourselves with each shower
But despite all the vileness we create
For to kill her
Many more come on the hour

So the real madness is drawn from us humans
Those arrogant souls of the night
Who work in laboratories down in life’s basement
Far far away from the light

They work feeling they are now able
To better creation for they
Have decided what should be and shouldn’t be
Sharing our world every day

And mosquito’s are number one now on their hit list
And so they came up with their tinkering stuff
With their PHd’s blazing
And life they are phasing out
but I have seen enough

Playing with genes they now reckon
When the gm male mates in the wild
Instead of a brace of new babies in tow
No one will find a live child

So that should significantly see them
Phased out and lost for all time
The problem is no matter however clever
To be a new god its some climb

Out of the great human genome
Into the skies up above
Meddling with things you don’t know much about
Devoid of all passion and love

Genetically modified insects
Meet the wild souls in the Field
They mate with each other
And then with another
Hopeful to produce a yield

But in fact what we see is the
Man made variety
Weaker much weaker by far
And up against god made
Developed through time
GM are just not up to par

And some repercussions are likely
Around
The various killer diseases
Have found
More virulence likely
So we must beware
Of The arrogant coupled with ignorance
Scare

There is much more to life
Than a shot in the dark
There is a reason they are here
For they mark
each of us really
Reminding us we
Should cover up always
That advice is free
But we don’t take note of
The warning do we
We cannot be bothered
Thats the mystery

And so it will happen
Creation will fight
We shall make efforts
But the way isn’t bright
Where there’s stagnant water
mosquito’s will come
And the itch and the scratch
Be awarded to some

And those weak will suffer
Imbalance and strain
There is nothing tougher
Than all of this pain
This sickness these headaches
But we have to learn
In the tropical climates
To show some concern

For our own livelihood and the way
We can protect ourselves
And others without recourse
To terrible chemicals and genetic engineering of
Life
