Shark

The ocean is our playground
Its where we were put
We have been here 400 million years
So that grants us a foot
Print within the wilderness
And our predation works
The problem is you humans
Are a bunch of jerks

You surf and make yourselves look like
A seal which we do eat
You swim not so cleverly
And you have tasty meat
We like the taste of blood in fact
So if you come to our space
Expect us please and respect us
Don’t just get in our face

We are great whites
Our teeth are big
And we don’t swim far from shore
So harpooning in the ocean
All that blood and gore
We can sense it really fast
And we will be over there
And if you get in the way
Then you we are going to share

That bloke Abbott had the idea
To shoot us all on sight
And sent out boats to do just that
Of course that wasn’t right
We had a few samples
And ate one or two
in WA they are shitting themselves
They don’t know what to do

They have lookouts on the beach
And copters in the air
They install those bloody shark nets
Those things do drive us spare
Recently those bubble curtains
We don’t like them that much
And various other deterrentS
I think you are out of touch

We have been around for ages
And we do predation right
Sometimes we make an error
Those swimmers out at night
But generally we are watching
For the humans who might be
Trying to catch us dozing off
Just trying to see

Australia is our home sea
In WA of course
There are a few of us around
I reckon we are a force
5 fatalities in 10 months
Has put the fear of god
Up some of you skinny dippers
