Arboreal monkeys from riverine forests
And mangroves live out their sweet lives
Palm oil is now decimating their habitat
And in many ways how it survives
Is staying the course high in the trees
Not venturing down to the floor
A harem based life which they do not leave
It’s something that they can’t ignore
They eat lots of leaves and their teeth
Have tough ridges
They are very susceptible to
Our diseases like – AIDS for example
So research on them is what we do
Leopards and Tigers enjoy Langur monkey
It apparently tasty and strong
The pet trade Is drawn to them
For they are pretty
Old age monkeys they just can’t go wrong
Look into their faces they have a heart outline
Right around their head and their face
Very much like the ET’s in our
Films
With hair all over the place
They do have this weird Martian aspect
Stooping and ancient are they
They Look very handsome and somewhat tranquil
And clearly they do so love play
The babies are all born bright orange
In colour
It makes sense of course for they can
Be found much more easily up in the trees
And that’s the extent of the plan
Their alien outward appearance
Draws the eye of the human to see
Ape like but weird and peculiar
It’s intrusive and unusually
Attracts for it’s form is angelic
It’s fur is in crests at his head
It really is something to marvel upon
Animated and somewhat misled
