Obstinacy and Sea World

Those supporters who seem to feel
The sadness and tragedy
Might Really start to question themselves
For their failure to really see
Wild dolphins and wild Orca’s
Are a special breed apart
Amazingly intelligent
And determined from the start
They have a disinclination
To cooperate and be
Prisoners confined in tanks
With a willingness to see
The sacrifice of separation
From their family pods
With their distinct behaviour
Ruled by their own gods
Sea Worlds main intention
As a corporate was to
Turn over lots of money
And profit from it, you
Who can’t see this main objective
And believe their mission was
To understand and bring to bear
And intelligence because
The need to teach our children
And educate us all
By capturing these wild ones
An entertainment pool
Using so called trainers
To glibly process through
A training programme
That will produce the goods
For all of you

The problem is wild animals were
Should Never be used in this way
Making them sacrifice their lives
And thus making them pay
Its disrespecting their right to be
Alive where they were placed
They were never designed to be
Captured and defaced
It’s an obdurate obsession
Based on corporate speak
It has nothing to do with honesty
The conclusions are all weak
It’s to do with the corporation
The mindset nothing more
Anything becomes possible
Of that of that they are sure

They create many victims
The animals they catch
The environment they plunge them into
It can never match
The wildness of the ocean
The life force vast and blue
The instinctive power and wisdom
The necessity to do
The wondrous interaction
The food source and much more
It’s purely bloody arrogance
And wrongheadedness for sure
It’s bigotry for animals have rights
Their passion must
Always be regarded for it has a thrust
And to treat the unassenting
As Sea World clearly does
Is cruelty personified
That creates an unfair buzz

It’s drives their wild creative souls
To comply and that’s not right
And we know it’s artificial
Rewarded for their plight
To be dosed up with our chemicals
A brazen attitude
One of utter ignorance
And we watch the stuff exude
The anger
The frustration
The sadness
It’s all there
The non cooperation
The reluctance
The despair
Why some choose to overlook
This, just I don’t know
Perhaps our inelasticity
And severity we toe
Their line
Hidebound on profit
On our perverse idea
As blackfish pointed out to us
The real reason was clear

We need to really take ourselves to task
On this and
Be
Resolute and determined
And go for constancy
Allow these wondrous animals
To live wild lives and we
Observe them with our cameras
Out there good and free
