Beltane

The Birch may drive a wedge today
To ply his cost on this May Day
The potency and abundant stare
Where protective magic is everywhere
Lushness and fertility
Luxuriance and prosperity
An over excitable message for
The gods and goddesses we adore

Let the sensitive souls tangle a while
At Roll right stones
Let’s walk a while
The potent life force
Gushing bright
With luxuriance and all that light

Orange and lemon mint and pine
Let’s cleanse the space
Across the line,
The Maypole’s ribbons
Good and high
Let’s dance together
You and I

Burn the birch logs
Wear the May
Let’s frolic in the great display
The spirit of old
As the night descends
The Beltane fox
One of our friends
Whose sweet affection never ends

Emotionally our feelings are long
Highly tempered and always strong
A predisposition for natures heart
True sentience is about to start
A responsiveness and a palpitation
That spreads it’s wings throughout creation
An effusive cordiality
And An unctuous swig
Of ecstasy

Let’s kindle the fires
Let’s torch the raw
Let’s evoke the Fae
From the earths green core
The pitch of excitement
The wizards flight
The electrification
Of what feels right

There’s no guilt trip
No transgression here
He remains responsible
Never fear
A paragon a saintly soul
Who gives his confession
From out of his hole

The great roll rights
Look good to day
Under the sun
Where the white clouds play
Where the chattering bird song
Herald the dawn
And we in the circle
Are bound to warn

The kings stone stands
In it’s space and peers
Over the fields
It has for years
The enchanted soldiers
Spell bound stones
Perpetuity
Lichened bones

The mythical dancers
The magical dare
Celestial bliss
We are aware
Resurrecting The
spirits
Prophetically they
Are the glorification
Of this Wondrous day

Let’s worship the goddess
Let’s bow down and say
Let’s give her the message
Let’s go on our way
Onwards to Litha
Who will swell and will grow
And draw heat from the sun
And just be sure to glow
