Gadhimai goddess of power

Oceans of animals innocent hearts
Wait through November for when it all starts
The vilest explosion the evil the sad
Sacrifice everyone it is all bad
500,000 earthlings will be
Hacked to unconsciousness
In front of the thee
The darkest tsunami
Great Waves of vile blood
Swamp us we’re being
engulfed
In the flood

And it’s all for Gadhimai
The goddess of power
Who is sick of this carnage
Hour upon hour
She continues to hear the wild
screams
And doth gain
A soaking a staining
In perpetual rain
For as sanity sinks
So the world goes insane

Innocence waits
It’s heart full of woe
Its sinew on fire
Coming up from below
One after another
The machetes fall
Down on the necks
Of one and all

What is it all about
Why do we see
So much injustice
Waiting to be
So many deaths
In such a short space
Religion is run
At such a great pace

One after another
Heads fall in the dust
Eyes peering all ways
It’s so unjust
What had they done
To attract this reward
Been peacefully holy
But dies by the sword

A great tidal wave
Breaks into the heart
Disgust drags the spirit down
How did this start
It is a misnomer
For nothing can be
As Dire in a world
Where nothing is free

Anyone anywhere who dares to see
Open your eyes and look earnestly

The heavens await
The bloodiest rain
The fountains of gore
What can we gain
It’s hauntingly sad
Such malevolence here
The malice the mad
An outrage of fear
Rancorous stuff
The goddess believes
She has seen enough
Who now achieves

Anything really
With bodies and blood

We stand at the crossroads
In deepening mud
No one can walk far
For all we can see
Are eyeballs and ear lobes
And snout parts that be

Piled in great piles
Smothered by flies
Sensing the horror
It is no surprise
Soon the great armies
Of maggots will be
Burrowing deep
Into iniquity

Did they imagine
Those animals who
Stood in the great place
In front of you
Heads bowed and heavy
Sleeping perhaps
Till the great sword came Down
And we felt their collapse

The umbrage the bitterness
And the dark gall
How we are feeling
Now seeing it all
A sense of great loss
In a sea of sinew
As my rancorous rant
Will continue

Such desperation
Such hopelessness we
Watch as they slaughter
As life bitterly
Comes to an end for so many
Who felt
Today was just another day

So they knelt down feeling tired
And we dispatched away
In front of each other
Murdered lets say
Heads chopped asunder
Hearts torn out too
Ears hacked and attacked
In front of you

A great crowd is watching
How can they dare
Would they not break down
And be anywhere
Else but this place
With this carnage on show
And so many flies
Coming in to bestow

Their favours by sucking the juices
Away
And leaving their eggs
Without due delay
For the mumbling maggots
To hatch and to be
Rifling into them rapaciously

Religion it pains me to say this but I
Feel that sacrifices are outdated and why
The goddess is thinking she should be the one
To safeguard her charges so what we have done
Is upsetting the gods not please them they
Want all of this stopped without any delay
The Nepalese people are lost in the past
The government too seem to be on a blast
They have to stop killing they really must try
And ban all this carnage now under the sky
