circumstances outside of our control caused this

Yarmouk refugee camp

is desolate and poor

thousands as far as the eye can see

and probably many more

standing very quietly

waiting to be fed

waiting for some hope at least

now its all come to a head

the arms dealers are happy

they have sold a lot of gear

a lot of homes have been shelled

and are falling down I hear

people have lost everything

hard working families too

suddenly they have nothing

and it could be me or you

look at the bloody buildings

smashed down with such force

and all these people waiting

hopeful there’s a source

of food of fresh cool water

of compassion to be found

everything’s gone pear shaped

now upon the ground

such empathy is needed

for the wickedness we see

the unrighteousness

the indifference

the vile depravity

and all these lovely people

have lost everything they had

everything they worked for

and that’s extremely sad

all of us but for fortune

could be in those  queues

could be standing naked

and having to refuse

those who wish to rape us

of our senses and our rights

we too were created

and now face a bunch of shites

the people they are crying

inside their hearts today

their children may have been taken out

and murdered anyway

mothers may be crying

fathers may be dead

the arms dealers are happy

they have  contracts they are fed

the wars are well ongoing

the people are to be

sacrificed forever

to preserve humanity
