Puppets come and puppets go

their 4 year term

will ebb and flow

some die of old age

or the gun

gets them and some get away

to become a statesman

and to play

a part in the psyche

a positive role

or a sidelined stance

a woodpile soul

the song and dance

skull and cross bones

others take a confident look

like Jimmy Carter

whose brought to book

the Israeli mobsters

and the way

they have targeted civilians

every day

slaughtered the children

targeted women and hospitals

no fault of there’s the people

have died

whatever it wants

which of course is  true

and the world looks aghast

at the unfairness here

and wants some redress

get some at least  for the blood
