I hear it you deserve freedom

You do
that’s for sure
you deserve what you get
this is the language of humans
they wet
your appetite really
with a dictionary they
talk freedom from a wire cage
where you have to stay

of course you were born
with your troupe in the green
jungle somewhere
you ate but stayed lean
but now you are caged up
in some ghastly place
fed by some troll
with the ugliest face

and what would they know about
freedom, for they
are corporate slaves
on really poxy pay
they wear a white uniform
and a name badge
and because of their life style
they like to cadge

but your right
why should you be
holed up in some cage
no trees to swing in
nothing to gauge
no fresh bananas
no trees to climb
just a old rubber tyre
where you pass your time

we all need our freedom
and humans believe
now they are slaves to the system
they grieve
when they are by themselves
about all of the nice food
they leave on their shelves
because they don’t get much money
and prices are high
so they are in fact caged up too
which is why

they begrudge you freedom
that’s human for you
lacking all confidence
it just comes through
the zoo isn’t there to look after you mate
its to make money from you
that’s how they create

their profit no prophets residing there
they are simply ignorant
with such despair
if they are just prisoners
you have to be
a prisoner too
so I’m sorry for thee

there is no way out
its what human do
who eat lots of meat
they then imprison you
and they cannot see
that anything’s wrong
because they themselves
sing the same song

this is the way of the world
and we know
the corporates rule
and their power base does grow
so whatever we write
saying like or we share
