“Stallone” the fighting dog who knew love but didn’t really get enough of it

Pit Bulls have a audacity
and can be trained to fight
but in their hearts they are beautiful
and for them love does feel right
but tragically they find themselves
in the situation where
they are cast to the abyss each day
to face the vile despair
dog fighting gangs
these criminals use these dogs
and they
are clearly injured seriously
and this is any day
they fight, they do so suffer
where man un kind is they
endure some violent injuries
and realy there is no way
the humanity should allow this
these breeds are trained up to
kill its the epitome its what
these dogs must do
and of course in the process
they too get wounded and
those that lose are often killed
by the hoodlums hand
strung up on some tree somewhere
or let loose in the park
a threat to other citizens
its truly very dark
to create this kind of woe
subjecting children even to
danger for we know
these dogs will all be desperate
and thats likely to grow
Stallone when rescued clearly
had been injured horribly
his face was really battered
but he was treated mercifully
loved by all the handlers
and clearly saw a side
of humans that was lovely
but his life had been a ride
through horror and through terror
at the hands of dog fighting gangs
but in the end he knew of love
he probably felt those pangs
that caring and thats sharing
but sadly for Stallone
his injuries proved just too much
more than most of us had known
and the rainbow bridge it beckoned
a short straw may be he
took it and is romping
in the grass eternally
