Piglets how we fail to care

Designing floors so piglets
catch their legs and feet and then
cannot get them out again
we must ask the question when
will human beings ever
think before they use
facilities that clear only
can abuse
a baby pig is desperate
desperate for its mum
and she is locked up in some crate
the piglet though needs some
milk from her
but farmers really do not
have a clue
all they want is money.
profit and margin
that’s it all through
and slatted wire floors show us
the ignorance around
and why the little animals
end up being found
dead starved of emotion
of love
and of basic care
they come into this Bloody world
and we give them despair
