Live Exports the Opposition

So the opposition regards Live Exports
as a worthwhile cause
The people better touch their hearts
and then just stop to pause
for it seems whatever the people say
these grey suits won’t agree
the animals will be murdered
after a longish voyage at sea
humility is clearly not the political way
on compassion for the animals
Australia makes them pay

heartless let them sicken
no food no water, they
can be cut up and strangled
have their eyes gouged out
its way
out of their jurisdiction
once the moneys in the bank
so its now up to you people
to tell them their ideas rank

its not what they are expecting
and if they want your vote
they better realise very soon
that they really have to note
you do not want a resumption
of live exports right away
and as for apologizing
to Indonesia, well no way

because if you do and you carry
this vile and awful trade
they wont be getting your votes
you will be putting paid
Australia has spoken
the opposition should
think more about the animals
for if they don’t they could

fall sadly by the wayside
their grey suits crumpled and
be left their for another term
which I guess they haven’t planned
they are on a different planet
these grey suits with numbed minds
saying what they think you want to hear
they can’t hear the signs

those sweet kind thoughtful animals
shipped in terror to
Bahrain or to Pakistan
oh god what they did do
tortured them and hurt them
till they bawled out loud
