More on Foie Gras and Fortnum’s role in selling it

The rich and famous shop there
the Royals to once did go
but foie gras kind of threw
a spanner in the works
we know

how geese and ducks are tortured
ravaged beyond care
Fortnum’s stocks it, sells it
loves it and seems to want it there
since 1707
they trade on quality
that’s what they tell everyone
but its not all heavenly
quality stuff they sell
this stuff it comes
straight up from the deepest Hell

Sir Roger Moore got to it
he made it very clear
they were no saints
to market it
this vile tin of fear
of torture and of agony
diseased liver in a can
induced by a few sad farmers
who know not why they began
Westminster Trading Standards
told them they were wrong
misleading their customers
so where do they belong
going downhill rapidly
foie gras their achilles heel
a lot of stars now back this stance
for we know that its for real
I’ve stood outside the store
with others talking to those who
pass by and some thought that foie gras
was mushroom based they do
get upset when you tell them
how the poor geese cry
bleed and die in agony
and what they ask is why?

thats what everybody asks
Fortnum’s clearly no
they support these awful farms
whose trade just seems to grow
more geese die in agony tortured
its a sin
foie gras has been banned by “Brakes”
where you now can’t buy a tin
people clearly are waking up
but not all of them see
the torture in the tin stores
who somehow seem to be

asleep to the torture!
