The last thing on my mind

What I see before my eyes
is something that I
hoped to god
I’d never see
how can it be
apparently
I saw this sod

throw my daughter
on a slab
my other daughter he did grab
and slice her throat
what could i do
but cry inside
so clueless too

when I heard him say
now I’ve come for you
if this is sentient
behaviour, I
am very glad I now must die
I carry the memory in my heart
of them tossing my babies on a cart

thosee squeaking wheels
and that bloody trail
and I feel the blade
as I too sail
upwards to the rainbow where
all lost souls go and kind of share
a purpose
which is what we do
and the last thing
on my mind was you

Human beings sicken me
their vile existence
cannot be
they pay the executioner
and all of us must die
they must have known
from how I’d grown
the animals in front must be
my young daughters
that’s the evil
that’s the shock
they chose for me
