Nature always knows best Cane Toads and Beetles

Australia had a problem with
beetles years ago
importing Cane Toads
from the USA
the idea was that
they would gobble up the beetles
but arrogance a forethought
and reality showed up and now they pay
big time as the toads
were very toxic
on their backs some glands
produced this stuff
and anything that ate them
was dead before they swallowed
them
and even great big king snakes
found life tough

The Cane Toads also
were effective breeders
the ladies laying 35000 eggs
that is rather serious
one has to say
thats another 70,000 legs hopping here and hopping there
and breeding
soon there will be only Cane Toads left
every other animals would have
hit the dust
and Australia alas
will be bereft
of every other animals imaginable
this often happens when man
thinks he knows
better than the world of
honest Nature
the problem that he thought he had
just grows

so now a few are going out
at midnight and collecting toads
and killing them but they
are really only scraping at the surface
Australia may be over run
someday
the lesson do not do the work of nature
she knows best and you know nothing much
and here’s a case in point
where it has back fired
I think now just sit down
and smoke a joint
and pretend it isn’t happening
the problem when we mess with nature
things can get
out of hand
Cane Toads are now closing in on everywhere
which many till today
can’t understand
